  1. Usually a yard sale is when you take all of your old junk on to your lawn and sell it to people walking by. Also, at a yard sale, prices are previously marked on your items. A garage sale is when you open up your garage (it usually must be facing a street), and sell your things from inside of there. Also, at a garage sale, prices are not marked, and the buyer must negociate a price with the seller.

  2. Obviously, if you have no garage, don't call it a garage sale. But it really doesn't matter. Same thing either way.

  3. Nothing.  Some people just don't have a garage to put the stuff in to sell it, so they put it in their yards.

  4. Different names for the same event. Some people call it a lawn sale. Anything in working order that you no longer want or need MAY bring you some cash.

  5. In my area, it seems like a yard sale is everything from around the house that you don't use and want to sell. A garage sale is when someone has cleaned out their garage and is selling things from it, but people store things that they don't use from their house in their garages, so they both are the same thing in a sense!

  6. EAZY!!!

ok a yard sale is in your yard! and a garage sale is in ur garage!

  7. One takes place in your yard, one takes place in your garage and driveway.

I'll give you three guesses; which is which?

  8. a yard sale is when u sell things on your YARD!!lol wow right

and a garage sale is when u sell things in your garage or at your garage!!

    wow intersting right

  9. Some people don't have garages, or do not want to open the garage up because its too messy, so they put it all out in the front lawn and call them yard sales.

  10. yard sale - you set up in the yard

garage sale - you set up in the garage.

only difference is the location of your sale. just same idea

  11. I see no difference. In some areas they call it one thing, in other places they call it another. Like in DE, where I'm from they call it Snowcones, but here in Baltimore its Snowballs; same thing, different name.

  12. Basically the same darn thing.... people selling there junk in a garage if they have one or in the yard if they don't have a garage!!!!! Kinda makes some seance!!
