  1. no way

    just give them more time to get used to A.M

  2. still play them

  3. they will play next series

  4. Dravid and Sachin will never be dropped. Batsmen who average 55+ over a period of more than 12 years are special, and are very rare. They will only be dropped if thy go through a really torrid time. But the BCCI wants to groom the youngsters under those two presence, and Dravid and Sachin will retire on there own accord.

    However Ganguly and Laxmans fate rest in there own hands, Basically if they dont perform consistently, then there places might be questioned. However Laxman had a pretty good series, in which he averaged 43, plus australia is coming up, so the selectors cant even dream of dropping Laxman against the aussies.

    Even though ganguly had a poor series, he had a  brilliant series before that, so you cant drop him after just one bad series.

  5. um who r they in da first place?

  6. One series can't see out some of the best players in the world. Its understandable they couldn't handle Mendis and Murali, they are world class spinners. But time will come when they will become pickable. Besides who will guide the younger guys if it isn't the fab four.

  7. they will finish strong but when their time is up they will be done =]

    best answer, yes? =] thanks

  8. ganguly--->barber

    Sachin-----> Carpenter

    Dravid------->Cowboy

    VVS---------->Housekeeping

  9. Actually, it's wrong to think that all 4 of the fabulous 4 share the same fate. Based on their current forms, each of them may have a different fate as follows:

    Sachin would continue both in tests and ODIs, unless his fitness problems get in the way. Sachin is India's greatest legend ever, and he deserves to play as long as he can. It's unimagineable that the selectors would drop him just on account of a single bad series.

    Rahul Dravid would probably continue for some more time in tests, though the door is closed for him on ODIs. He too didn't have a great performance in the SL test series, but considering his experience he is likely to be given another opportunity. But the sword is already above his head, and he would be under considerable pressure to retain his place in the side.

    Sourav Ganguly had a disappointing performance in the last series, and since he isn't in the good books of the selectors, has a very slim chance of being called for the next tour. If he is lucky enough to get picked again, he must prove himself immediately, otherwise, it won't be long before he would be permanently axed. He has already been thrown out of the ODI team, inspite of having a great record in the 50 over version of the game, and the moment he stops performing in tests, he would be shown the door.

    VVS Laxman is not in immediate danger, because his performance though not excellent, has atleast been decent, and a lot better than the big 3 against Sri Lanka. But his place isn't secured either, and if his form drops lower, he too will be sacked.

    It isn't meet that all 4 of them should be replaced all of a sudden, because a team without experience is not a balanced one. Besides, the fab 4 can return back to their great forms any time.
