  1. At this point in time, the top three best sellers, are the Bow-Tech, Hoyt, and Matthews. They are the three best sellers for a reason.

  2. i hate compounds to me they r silly and not to sound rude to anyone who shoots them but they r pointless for ever so many reasons! the biggest thing to me is if you cant pull the complete draw weight of a real mans bow in other words a longbow then you should not be shooting bow at all. i no im goin to get thumbs down because of my statement but think about it, its true ur not pulling your full draw weigh.

  3. Their isn't a best bow.  Just like their isn't a best gun, or car, or their would only be one for sale.  Just do your research.  Look for things like fps, brace height, and of course get properly measured.

Don't get caught in the hype of some aggressive advertisers.  For instance, Matthews wins a ton of tournaments.  The unspoken word is that Matthews has lured many top shooters to shoot their bow.  If their are 25 guys entered in a tournament, and 20 of them are shooting free Matthews.  Chances are, Matthews is going to win.  It was the same thing with Nike years ago.  Sure, they one every race, but only because they were on the feet of every one out there.

  4. mathews, I would reccomend the Mathews DXT. It's the most accuarte, fastest, and light weight. With no recoil.

  5. Its all personal preference. I recommend a diamond or bowtech deadly quiet and fast. I have test fired many bows recently trying to find a new one. Those two brands are exceptional. I recommend a Bowtech Guardian or Commander or the Diamond Marquis. The Marquis has a smooth draw cycle due to the single cam. These bows are high in price but if you are not willing to spend that much a Matthews Mission Journey.

  6. The one YOU like...and it won't necessarily be the one any store will push on you.

For instance: I like Martin, but a friend likes Black Widow -- and still another friend likes Bear. All three of us have the "absolute best" brand-name bow.

  7. Mattews, PSE, Bowtech or Hoyt. As long as you stay with a name brand and trusted bow manufacture you shall be fine. Beside, the name on the bow make sure it fits you. That's the most important factor not the fancy price tag or the name.

  8. The one that fits you the best and you will practice with the most.

PSE, Matthews, etc all make good equipment or they wouldn't stay around long.
