  2. That really depends.  If you are not in the custody of the state they can put you in until you are 17.  If you are in the youth authority or something similar they can usually hold you until you are 21.

  3. It all depends on your net worth here in CA.

    Let me draw you a diagram:

    income cap per year and corresponding sentence;

    $0 - $49,000 1st offense 70 years to life with no parol

    $49,001 - $129,000 1st offense 19 years in state, 17 for good behavor, depending on the "whiteness" of the crime.  

    $129,000 - $280,000 1st offense 20 year sentence in club fed, lawyer usually plee bargains to 4 years.

    $280,000up... I didn't see anyone when I got there - officer Justice.
