Whats the age to hunt alone

if i'm 16 does that mean i can drive alone with a rifle or bow in my car to hunt as long as i have a safety license and a permit... and also how do i find state land were you can hunt on

Call your fish and wildlife officer in your area/state they can tell you where to go and about the regulations in you area.

As far as having a gun in the car I would check on it. This hunting season im going to be 16 so I can drive myself to hunt, but its on my families land so I can't really say much more than check with the police and fish and wildlife.

Apparently 14 isn't old enough here even with an older hunter along: kid and his brother were bear hunting and the 14 year old shot and killed a hiker.

You should check your state regulations first, by calling the DNR or Fish and Game department. In most cases, if you've already completed a hunter's safety course and posses a valid hunting license, you can hunt alone when you're 14. If you're 16, you can drive alone with a rifle, shotgun, or bow in your car, as long as it's cased and TOTALLY unloaded (some states do allow to drive with a loaded weapon, but it's best not to). As far as finding public hunting land in your state, the best bet is to stop by the DNR, or Fish and Game Department and pick up a couple maps, or talk with a warden. Local sporting goods stores also carry maps of public hunting land, or can at least point you in the right direction.
