Whats the average time for running a kilometer? how many minutes????

well i ran a 3/4 mile in school and i got 5:12

i dont know what other people got but i had the best time from all 3 grade of girls (6-8)

depends on age and gender

according to good 800m. times id say for a guy in middle school probably say around 3:00-3:15

for a girl probably around 3:20:3:35. obviously if you're older times should be better.

It all depends on the runner. a kilometer is .6 miles so that is just over a half mile. the world record for the half mile is 1:41 so you can be anywhere between that and 6 minutes if you are very very very very slow. There is no real average because everybody is different athletic and running ability. However a excellent time for a high school runner, running the half mile would be mid 1:50's and anything under 2:10 is respectable. However it is impossible to put an average on it. If you add about 30-40 seconds for the extra 200 meters difference you would be anywhere between 2:25 and 2:45
