Whats the best 125cc engine for a shifter go kart? best brand ?

i already have the chassis now i need an engine but i dont know whats the best engine to get reliablity wise and speed wise. its for a racing shifter go kart

I raced dirt bikes for years and I would recommend 1997 or newer yamaha or honda engine. Both are durable.The honda is faster if you hold it in the sweet spot in the powerband, but the yamaha powerband is smoother and longer. { easier to ride ]

They are all about the same...You will get mixed answers on this one...We race Yamaha's..The next guy might be a Honda guy...and so on.....Take your pic...When your talking 2-stroke there all about the same....Just dont jet to lean and you should be good..
