  1. van

  2. I rather like the Vauxhall Zafira...I have had three of them now and not a spot of bother...and they have plenty of room and are reasonably economical.

  3. zafira. da older one. nt da newest model

  4. Kia Carens

    1998 ccm (121.92 cubic inches)

    8.3 litres/100 km (28.51 miles per gallon)

  5. A Vauxhall Zafira 1.6 is a group 6/7 Insurance so if you have 3+ years no claims rough guess would be £500 or under. It has relatively good comfort levels although the further rear two seats are only suitable for children under 10 and with these in use you lose the luxury of the boot. The ride is a bit firm, and economy is average but well built with reasonable mechanics the Zafira makes a sensible family car.

For a 1.4 model I believe the Renault Grand Scenic was sold as a 1.4 although it will be slow and heavy. The Scenic in comparision to the Zafira is a prettier car, bright and airy inside. Good spec levels help boost the appeal and a full 5 star ncap crash test result are peace of mind for a family. Again the same problem with small rear seats and lack of boot, but a group 4 Insurance, good economy (40mpg average) and good value for money on the second hand market make the Scenic very desirable. Watch for iffy build quality or over worked models that a tradesman has used for work/family commitments.

Depending on Budget there are a lot mor 'smaller' 7 Seaters hitting the market now. Citroen C4 Picasso, Ford S-Max, Honda FRV (6 Seat), Fiat Multipla (6 Seat). There is a bit of choice so shop around until you are happy. Good Luck.
