  1. if you want a good cheap amp get a kicker 400.1 of ebay

check out my system the box is the only thing that did not come of ebay

  2. my friend has those same subs his are powered by a powerbass asa 2000w amp he has had this setup for 2 1/2 years. he has thoroughly abused the subs and amp. they are still going strong so i recommend what i know works the powerbass 2000w asa mono.

  3. go to hooked on tonics get a 750.1 kicker amp and just tune it to your subs... that  would be my choice get your best bang for your buck

  4. those are 2ohm DVC subs so depending on your wiring you can get final impedances of .5, 2, or 8ohms at the amp (this will help with your wiring http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer...

the lower the final impedance at the amp the lower the sound quality, but the easier/cheaper it is to power (i dont recommend going below 2ohms)

so the amp needed will have about 800watts RMS @ 2ohms and is also CEA-compliant which means that the amp has been tested and produces or exceeds the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion (distortion is the main cause of sub damage)

    here are the CEA-complaint brands

    Alpine

    Bazooka

    Blaupunkt

    Clarion

    Eclipse

    Infinity

    JBL

    JL Audio

    JVC

    Kenwood

    Kicker

    MTX

    Pioneer

    Polk Audio

    PPI

    Rockford Fosgate

    Sony

set your gain (input sensitivity setting) CORRECTLY regardless of the amp used

If you send too much power to your sub, you risk damaging it. The cone of the speaker and the mechanical parts that make it move may break under the stress. Surprisingly, too little power can also damage your subwoofer — in fact, it's actually more common than damage caused by overpowering.

When the volume is turned up and the amp doesn't have enough power, the signal becomes distorted, or "clipped." This distorted signal can cause parts of the speaker to overheat, warp and melt. Not good!

You don't have to match speaker and amp wattages exactly. An amp with a higher output than the speaker's rating won't necessarily damage the speaker — just turn the amp down a bit if you hear distortion from the sub and don't run the speaker at extremely loud volumes for lengthy periods. Likewise, you'll be OK with a lower powered amp if you keep the volume down and don't feed a distorted signal to the sub.
