Whats the best (Australian) media center?

After watching a *certain* video in HD (720) on my laptop, I've come to realise how great it actually is. At the moment I have a cheap run-of-the-mill DivX DVD player but I'd like to know what else is out there.

I'm thinking something like the AppleTV. Not a full blown PC (i.e. media center) but something with wireless capabilities and a harddrive.

If nothing exists, can someone point me in the direction of a few tutorials of how to make my own. maybe a tutorial where they hacked a DVD player to add a harddrive and linux.

Garion: 1st, you'll get more and more authoritative responses to computer related question, like this one, if you post in the "Computers & Internet" forum. That's where the experts hang out.

2nd, when you have questions primarily related to knowledge of Australia and/or Australiaian products, you might post in Yahoo Answers International-Australia where you are communicating directly with people who live there. Most here live in the USA and have no personal knowledge of what's available in Australia.
