I like fresh clean smells that aren't too overpowering.

I'm a big fan of Versace Blue Jeans and Joop! colognes for men.  

I think this subjective query is like any other.  Different people will be drawn to different scents.  Some scents smell better on some men than they do others due to unique body chemistry.  :)
