Whats the best GPS out there today ?

whats the best GPS out there today ? I want one that talks to you. And possibly updates itself.

I have used Mageallan in a Hertz car

I have used Garmin in an Avis car

and TOM TOM afvertises heavy

Best ? I found the Garmin was compact and plugged into the

cigarette light and could have been moved from car  to car

I have looked at a few and done a little comparison. Well, most talk the directions but some just tell you to turn and others tell you the street name. There are so many different ones that you need to go look for yourself. They do not update themselves, yet. you have to hook all up to a computer to update maps. I prefer the Garmin nuvi 220w over most but a friend has a TomTom and he likes it. They are less expensive then Garmin and have similar features. Go to Best Buy and just ask questions about the features each has. narrow them down to three or four and then try asking people that you know or see with them what they think of it and what kind it is.
