I have no idea about mp3's or ipods, but I want something that is simple to use (Ipod for dummies?) and holds heaps of songs about 1000. I don't need photos or videos, just music. Can you get one that can be recharged without the need for a computer or has normal batteries? I'm in Australia and have about $100.

  1. I have the ipod shuffle 2 gig, for 69.oo of the web; it can be engraved which i loved as it cuts WAY down on people stealing it. The 2 gig is easy to keep, wearable and SO easy to sync. i love it and now have the 80 gig classic. I swore for yrs never to buy ipods for moral reasons, but then i got four others, Sandisk, xm, shaker, and classic (all cheaper brands) they aren't compatible with many many sites and required downloading TONS of added software to my hard drive that kills my computer; in short, i gave in, got the little shuffle and love IT,  as good as a fresh cup of coffee or a car that runs ever time, all the time in the winters of chicago... that's my ipod.

  2. A 4Gb will hold about 1000 songs. And all recent mp3 players I know of come with a propeitry dock to connect to your'e computer so you need to buy an AC adapter which you could find online. I would suggest the sansa fuze. It is like $85 bucks(4GB version) on amazon and is easy to use. Just add songs using Windows Media Player. Go to sync drag your songs into the sync list and hit start sync. That's it. Plus they are just as reliable as Ipod's they just dont have the brand name so you dont have to pay the premium.

    Hope I helped

  3. Creative is great. but I love samsung the best.i own a YP-T10-8g.it nvr fails me. wrks as a flash memory, can watch video, bluetooth, radio, recorder, read text, play games.

for a lesser memory space u can get less than 100.

  4. go to like frys if they have them there. there are a bunch of cheap ones that are like 30-50 dollars that will hold around 4 gigs of songs. However, the quality of them is questionable, and the extra money you would put into buying an ipod is definitely worth it. Ipods last for a long time if you take proper care of them, until the battery dies actually.
