Whats the best Mini DV camcorder for under or around $400?

It has, i repeat, HAS to have a mic jack. Also it is preferred to be USB, not firewire, but firewire can be worker around. Thanks

  1. Canon ZR800, ZR900, ZR930. They have a mic-in jack. They do not have manual audio control. Only firewire is used for transferring DV from the tape.

    Least expensive with a mic-in jack and manual audio control are the Canon HV20, HV30, Sony HDR-HC7 and HC9.
