Whats the best Way to get my husband more involved?

my husband said he may not want to go to birthing classes along with parenting classes. i really want him to go is there anything i can tell him or show him that it would be good for him so he can be with me when i am in labor. i just want him to know all the little things he can do to make things go as smoothly as possible. what can i do????
