Fine a good instructor you can take regular lessons with. If that isn't an option, try to attend as many clinics as you can and get books and DVDs to study.

start with a walk around the barrels,, then a slow trot for some time until the house is use to what you want.. increase the speed after you and him are united.. then come into the arena in a trot.. then a gallop.. eventually a run will come.. you will hit many barrels.. learn balance.. It all in life..Blessing
