  1. I was happiest with the cheap store-brand stuff, and so was my daughter digestive system.

It is all FDA approved and the all have the same ingredients, so there is no reason to spend twice as much on the name brand.  If your child has special needs when it comes to formula (acid reflux or something like that), then you might need to have a specific type.

  2. When my milk supply stayed the same..... and my son needed more food..... I had to begin supplementing with formula.  I use enfamil lipil....... it worked the best for us.  I signed up at the enfamil website and got free formula and tons of coupons.  good coupons too...... like 8 dollars off a can.

  3. Whichever one works best for your baby. No one can tell you what's the BEST one because that may not work with your baby. Formula is a trial and error thing, you try one until you find a good one. For us that took three different types and we're now on a gentle formula because it helps with gas and spitting up for our baby.

  4. most people will say Enfamil but my daughter was on Similac . that is what they gave her at the hospital so i went with that

  5. I gave Cow and Gate to my 4 eldest and still do with my 5th never any problems with it.I am not saying it's the best but that's the one i have been using since 1994 and it contains prebiotics(special nutrients that are similar to the ones found in breastmilk and some fruit and vegetables)

  6. Depends on if there are any eating problems.  I like Enfamil.  I tried Similac and it was really foamy.  I also tried Parent's Choice and it was a little sticky, but was fine.  We had to switch to a formula with added rice starch for spitting up, but otherwise Parents choice is $10.00 cheaper than Enfamil.  I have no expereince with any other formula.

  7. There is no one 'best' formula.   If baby must have formula, start with any standard milk-based formula. (Those are the closest to breastmilk and all are essentially the same.)  If baby does well, stick with it.

If not, you might try ready-to-feed rather than powder (or vice-versa) a 'gentle' type, or one without DHA/ARA.
