  1. Dove beauty bar, 1/4 moisturising cream in every pack.

  2. Johnsons is the best to use, the same with shampoo, everything thats made by them is so gentle, best 4 baby, best 4 u to quote the advert.

  3. Johnson & Johnson

  4. honestly from personal experience id never use a soap bar.. as you've experienced it dose leave your skin tight feeling. try washing in Johnson's baby wash then when you get out don't dry off just use baby oil on your skin and let your self dry naturally, using some towels on your skin can make it dry out too much you need some natural moisture. just try it a few times and and your skin will feel as soft as a baby's..

  5. Burt's Bees makes some very nice, gentle soaps.

Antibacterial bars tend to be a bit drying, FYI. Cetaphil is a pretty good choice, generally, but if it's not working for you, dump it.

Milk soaps and translucent bars are generally quite gentle.

  6. Go to Tradr Joe's and get Dr. Bonner's Liquid Castle Soap and use coco butter lotion for your moisturizer.

  7. Ivory soap is good

  8. Johnson's soaps are the best!

  9. I agree with both Johnson's and going to Trader Joe's.

For our now ten and a half month old daughter, we started using Johnson's soap. It's what my mother used on me and my siblings (the first bottle was a gift from my mom) and what I think my MIL used on my husband. When we ran out, we tried the Huggies soap, but it didn't seem to work as well and it irritated my daughter's eyes. (She has a habit of rubbing her face when we bathe her.) So I started to use it and it's okay. (It was also a gift and I hated to waste it.)

Trader Joe's is a chain of groceries with all natural products. I like their aloe lotion, which comes in white bottle with a green label. I use it for my face (a few small drops work and it's not heavy) and even down to my legs, post shaving. It's also only three dollars a bottle. Also, Whole Foods, which has more locations but is more expensive will also have stuff. A search for "natural food stores" or "health food stores" either in your local phone book or on-line (with your town/city name) will also yield some results.

Mainstream stores like Wal-Mart are also wising up and carrying natural products as well. However, I'm very well stocked in the toiletries department, thanks to free samples and cheap products after sale price and coupon, so it's been awhile since I've bought anything. Also, try searches for things like "aveeno free samples", as you might find something and it would definitely be worth trying the sample before buying it.
