Whats the best ball to play in golf?

I play NXT tours by titeleist. basically this is a slightly harder version of the prv1.  its got a little harder for bad off the tee shots but it gets excellent spin on green.  i think its the best ball for my game.  i think the hx hot bite is a good ball 2.

Bridgestone B330.  I hit it because it is not as soft as a ProV1 or a Callaway HX Tour 56.  The B330 allows you to hit longer drives and still have a great feel for shots around the green.  You still have the softness needed to spin the ball also.

I'm no expert golfer, but I've hit a lot of golf balls and NONE of them feels like the Titleist ProV1.  I don't know the difference between the regular one and the X model, but what I may give up in distance by not hitting one of those"rocks" like a Top Flite, I gain back in the way the ball lands on the green and stops.  If you can't afford the $40+ a dozen price, then ask for them for Christmas or your birthday or Father's/Mother's day.  Ebay has large lots of them ranging from a dozen to 4 dozen and up that have been used for a fraction of the new price.

First let me start off by saying that I keep a sleeve or two of Titelist Pro V1s, Callaway Tour i, Bridgestone 330s, Srixon Z-urc, and Taylor Made TP Red in my car... In my bag I have TP Reds and Pro V1 (black number)   In my opinion Taylor Made Reds have the feel , control characteristics and distance (the Red and Black TPs rated longest of the 'tour' type balls for distance by Golf magazine in the Feb 08 'what ball to play' articles that listed distance, spin and construction characteristics )  It remains in your hands what ball you feel you play best of course, but many golfers do not play the ball that best suits their game profile or swing speed

Ok.  The number one player in the world uses the Nike One Platinum.  It's taylor made for him.  It has the softest cover of any ball on the market.  It spins faster than any ball on the market.  Now for the rest of us, I would recommend the Nike One Black.  It has any equally soft cover as the Platinum.  It's 3rd on the list of balls that spin the fastest.  It is longer off the tee than the Platinum.  The number one player in the world switched from the Titleist ball to the Nike ball because it is a better ball.

there really is no best ball though alot of people think so...it depends on your handicap, your swing, and what you are looking for.  There are pure distance balls, and there are balls with spin to help with control on the greens.  Try different balls, and with some brands you can actaully have them fitted to you like your clubs =)
