Whats the best bass boat thats around 18' long?

I dont want it to be any older than 1992. It should have have a really big engine and plenty of seating.

My brother in law is a semi-pro bass fisheman and when I go to see the turnaments, most of the guys are using Ranger brand bass boats.  All the Rangers I have seen have really large motors.

Stratos and Triton are very good boats.  However the best bass boat made is Bullet.  The quality construction of Bullet boats is unmatched.  The guy who recommended Triton mentions speed, the Bullet has the fastest hull of all bass boats with the exception of Allison, which is not set up really great for fishing.

If you can find one with a Mercury 225 Pro Max you should be able to reach about 90 MPH.  But if you can find one with a Mercury 260 EFI it should hit between 97-102 MPH.  These speeds are from personal experience and assuming the boat is rigged properly.

Stay away from Mercury Optimax engines.  They are very heavy and sluggish.

Triton makes a very good Bass rig, hope you like speed,that sucker will toat the mail, but don't be to attached to your money

I have a Stratos, most bass boats do not have much seating, Usually 3 across. If you want more seating, look for a fish & ski. Of course a Stratos,,,
