Whats the best body armor one can buy?

i want to know whats the best body armor i can buy?..

i want it to be 5.56 .223 and 7.62 round proof...

kevlar, lexan?.. whats better..

I dont know..That stuff is very illegal out here in California..

Its illegal for civilians to own body armor but any soft armor vest with a ceramic plate will probably do it.
