  1. Book? BOOK!?

    Please, if you want to learn about boxing.....find a gym and trainer. Each one will do things different but a book will not make you a boxer or push you like these guys get pushed. That is why the call it a "camp". If you want get in shape...Go to a gym talk to people who look like they know what they are talking about. Anyone can write a book......GET OUT THERE and do it don't read about it. Not to put you down but that is what is wrong these days. Nike has it right......"JUST DO IT"


  2. you should use the cross fit system which works out your body in the natural way it already works. examples are... pull-ups, push-ups, sit--ups, squat thrusts, kettle-bell swings, run, swim etc. go to crossfit.com for more ideas on that

    as for boxing there are a lot of things you could do

    practise punching in 3 min rounds then 1 minute rest

    1.left jab

    2.right jab

    3.left cross

    4.right cross

    5.left jab, right cross

    6.right jab, left cross

    7.left jab, right cross, left jab

    8.right jab, left cross, left lab

    continue with that progression until you get to much larger combinations. also use a speed bag

    practise slipping punches. have someone throw a controlled punch at your head and practise the v-slip and the u-slip.

    the practise adding a hook or a strait punch depending on what side you slip to.

    sometimes spar going into the ring fresh after a quick warm up and other times wait till you are tired b/c you need to be able to fight well when you are tired b/c you will be when you get to the last round of the fight

  3. Check the area you live in and try and find a good armature gym, if they are USA ABF member then most will be free or have minimal changes.

  4. If you need a book in order to work out and get into shape, you need more help than what you think.  This is what's wrong with this country, we want the easy way out!  

    Listen, it all starts within yourself.  Eat right, run, do push ups, sit ups and lunges.  If you have a weight bench, work out with light weights to start off.  

    Just get motivated and do it, don't wait for a freaking book!
