Whats the best brands of snowboard?

Im looking for a new board. I like lots of control im 5'6 and 140 pounds. Looking for a nice Light board that well be easy to whip around.

There is no such thing as a single "best brand."  There are so many excellent brands out there.  Talk it up at your local hill the next time you are out.  Ask the guys you meet on the lift how they like their board.  See who has a good rep.  Look for "demo days" to try out new equipment.  Explore a bit and it will pay off.... if you just listen to people on the Internet tell you what you should ride, well you'll get what you deserve.

Salomon... brill for first time or for brill boarders. or a burton but they more expensive

i am the EXACT same hight and weight as you... definetly go with a BURTON. They are great for jumps and rails... (i actually went out tonite and hit some). They carve great and outta the past 2 boards i have had i love my burton the best...i suggest you get a 150-152 CM board...mine is 147 and its a lil short...but i like short cuz its good for tricks...hoped it helpd
