As long as the seats aren't hard it's good enough.

  1. The only one in the U.S. is Greyhound.  some Mexican bus lines co-ordinate and partner with Greyhound...but it is still Greyhound...and it is HORRID.  I live in Mexico..  A few weeks ago I traveled to the U.S.  I Took Mexican buses to Mc Allen , TX.  They are wonderful...new, immaculate, spacious, super quiet, courteous drivers, less expensive than Greyhound.   In Mc Allen I had to switch to Greyhound...filthy, old, very noisy, falling-apart, super cramped. rude drivers, unbelievably filthy, ancient bus stations  ( far worse than any in Mexico), and rude drivers..AND they lost my luggage and thought nothing of it!  For my return trip I used Craigs list to find a ride to Texas, then got return tickets on Mexican bus in McAllen.  I would recommend you check Craigslist and post a note there too...look for a ride to Mc Allen if possible as it is the BEST station to get a Mexican bus into Mexico. It is a beautiful, new, clean station, well-staffed, many bus lines have counters there and you can get connections to anywhere in Mexico. Or if you could get to San Antonio or Austin...you coud tolerate a Greyhound for the short ride to Mc Allen.  There are buses leaving McAllen for many cities in Mexico many times every day...you would have no trouble getting a connection without too long a wait. There is also a new ridefinder service called Zimride you could check out.  It is easy to register and sign up on craigslist so you can post a message...put your message there every other day and read the rides offered too.  I got a ride with a great college student who provided references.  We shared gas expenses, and the ride was clean, comfortable, and my luggage did NOT get lost!  Good luck to you.
