Whats the best car ever?

i want to know what the best car is?

You could ask 100 different people this question and receive 100 different answers.

The best car is the one that best does what you want it to do.

Some people will say the Bugatti or Ferrari.  But what good is a car that only a few people can purchase.  The same goes with any car that is so expensive that only an elite few can drive them.

So my answer is the original Volkswagen Beetle.  They were cheap to buy, cheap to operate, easy to maintain, well made, and did what they were supposed to do.

i have seen this question so many times and my answer does not change. the 1968 pontiac GTO with an ho 400 cid/6.6 liter engine, the m21 close ratio transmission, a 373 open rear end, verduro green. just love that car. but i am curious what the 455 would have been like.

The absolute best:

1963 Ford Fairlane, a right sized family car  that was fun to drive.

The second best:

1989 Ford SHO, also a right sized family car and fun to drive - but not as pretty as a 63 fairlane.

My original impulse was to say the Volkswagen beetle,surely one of the best ever cars in every aspect,but I decided the car deserving the number 1 spot is the Model T Ford.

It currently holds the title for most reliable car in the world.

It has a good mix of comfort and sportiness. It is practical and good on gas.
