  1. well running is one of the best cardio workout, you should be running every day.

    but even better then running i would say would be jump rope, you should be jumping 10 3 minute rounds a day.  Do these things in addition to your bag and mitt routines and you'll see good improvement.

    oh and who ever your doing your mitts with, do like a burn out every last 30 seconds of the round, that's good cardio right there!

    and if your not sparing, that's a shame ... this is where you learn the most, also it forces you to push yourself...

  3. running and jumping rope are both great and you should do both every day but you need to get your body used to throwing the amount of punches you are going to throw in a fight.  You should be working several rounds at least three times a week between heavy bag, mits, speed bag (really just for shoulders and cardio but still a good workout), and sparring.  Swimming is also excellent cardio and good full body conditioning.  I would also suggest interval training as in fights you go three minutes then get a minute to rest.  What I like to do is run at about 70-80% for three minutes then jog for one minute and repeat this for 12 cycles.
