I usualy go for the white one... it lets you be more responsible with your phone since dirt or scratches can easily be seen on white... also, it makes the phone look more 21st century... the black one makes it look dull and boring after a week of looking at it...

Black is good for hiding scratches and dirt more easily but I find it a bit boring and dull looking. I would go for white if you generally are careful and look after your phones, it's a bit different.

If your hands are usually dirty then pick the black version, the dirt transfer will not be as visible.

Nokia N82 silver is better. I have nokia N82 silver and I like it very much. I can use my N82 as a mirror because its front cover is very reflective. Nokia N82 black is more fingerprint magnet compared with Nokia N82 silver.
