Whats the best convertible car seat I can buy, that's not an arm and a leg?

I was looking for a Fisher Price Safe Voyage, but it's no longer made. What's something of equal price and quality.

Well, I know that you don't want to spend an arm and a leg, but I like the Britax convertible car seats. If you are looking for something that is easy to install and has an excellent safety record I think that is the way to go. Also you child can stay harnessed longer and you won't have to go out and buy another carseat when they exceed the weight limit. I have bought a cheap car seat and you get what you pay for.
