  1. Disney is expensive.  I would advise Carnival.  There is a four day Bahamas cruise out of Port Canaveral on the Sensation that would be good.  Even better is a five Western Caribbean out of Tampa on the Inspiration.  These are both good short cruises to start with .  Carnival offers a lot of activites for the kids, and a good balance for the adults.  If you can afford a seven day, it has a lower per day cost, and I would advise taking the Carnival Glory, again out of Port Canaveral, or the Carnival Liberty out of Fort Lauderdale.

  2. We took our daughters on the Disney Land/Sea package to introduce them to cruising.  But they were much younger, 5 and 7.

Now at pre- and teen ages, they prefer Carnival with the dance clubs, 24 hours pizza and non-stop ice cream.

Of all of the cruises we have been on, Disney was the most expensive.

Check out www.vacationstogo.com to compare cruise lines.

  3. If you want to do it for the kids, take them on a Disney cruise - the whole experience is focussed around them. If you want a great experience for yourself too, go with Princess. The youth staff onboard will take great care of your kids and give them a fun, happy holiday. Meanwhile you can join in the adult activities, but there are also loads of opportunities for the three of you to do stuff together.

Personally I think the Pacific Islands are much nicer than the Caribbean! And it would probably cost about the same as a Disney cruise. P&O Australia is part of the Princess company, and they do fly/cruise deals where your flights are included. Check out pocruises.com.au for details and itineraries.

  4. take them on a four day cruise to either the bamahas or another one that takes you to key west and cozumel,

these are both cruises you could find on carnival.com's website,

carnival is a fun cruise for kids too there are a lot of activies to take them on,

and there will be a lot of other kids to play with

so they will be able to have fun

    good luck!

  5. Probably your best bet would be the Disney Cruise Line.  It is geared for kids your ages and is also a great place for parents.  They have 4 day cruises to the Bahamas and their private island that are wonderful.

Family of 3?  Well, a single parent might just meet another single parent on the same cruise.

  6. There are some Disney cruises around. Why don't you check?
