Whats the best cut of pork to use in a slow cooker?

  1. pork loin skinned boned and rolled cooks perfectly in a slow cooker.but add 1/2pint water to stop it drying out,use the water for gravy


  2. I've not tried this as yet .. but my friend has raved about making a leg of pork in a slow cooker. Said he just seasons it with salt and pepper ... puts a small amount of water at the bottom of the cooker and leaves it on slow cook till he gets home from work.

    Apparently it is so soft, moist and tender that just falls of the bone.

    I still need to try this one day myself ... I look forward to other peoples suggestions tho.



  3.   Shoulder is cheap and does not get dry - if available on US market -

      and you can roast it with fat ( oil ), sugar, salt and pepper + possible

      carrot slices and onions, this will give a base for the final juice

      which you can clarifie with some spoonfuls of white wine -
