Any working secondhand Nikon, Canon, Pentax or Olympus on eBay.  Anything new on that budget will be a joke.

Sorry Badmann any NEW digital camera in your price range will not be much good. You will do far better spending the money on a better quality used camera from a REPUTABLE seller on ebay.

Try looking at the 5mp Panasonic Lumix DMC LC80. The combination of Panasonic electronics and a Leica lens make them one of the largely undiscovered gems of the camera market.  Because Panasonic is not generally widely regarded as a Camera maker (They have actually made digital cameras for a number of years and make the LEICA brand digitals for Leica!) they never fetch anything like what they are really worth.

Take a look at UK ebay item 280241618153 which is a little over your budget but looks a good buy.
