  1. I would go with the crf150f since you have never rode. All the other bikes are meant for racing and might be be to much power. I have rode the crf150f and it is a great bike.

  2. since your older than go with one of the the 125s or the 100 you're kinda old for the CRF150R if you want to race but if you want one just for fun then the CRF150F is a good choice

  4. note: this is all from my personal expierance some people may have had diffrent expierances with dirtbikes but i am going on riding my 4s (4 stroke) 125 suziki,my 4s 230 yamaha, my CRF 250x (4s), and my CRF 250 R (4s)

it depends on how big you are, your expierance riding, what you are going to be riding, price range, and more.

2 strokes v 4 strokes ::: 2 strokes have high powerband not very much power low, more matienance, need special fuel/oil mixture, burns tons of gas, mainly motocross orientied, however cost less, it is mainly said that you have to be more expieranced to ride 2 strokes correctly, b/c of the powerband ::: 4 strokes mainly low powerband with adverage mixture of mid and high (from my personal experiance) doesnt need too much matienance, uses stright fuel, very good gas mileage, nice mix of motocross and trail bikes, costs a little more, 4 strokes tend not to need to an expieranced rider as much.

a 125cc 2 stroke RACES with 250cc 4 stroke, they arent the same, they just race together.

motocross bikes and trail bikes are pretty diffrent. motocross bikes have stiffer shocks more power cant stay on idle as much. a trail bike has softer suspension (stock) less burst, and can ride in idle. motocross also cost more than trail usually

i went riding this weekend, i rode my CRF 250 R (4s motocross incase you didnt know) and my dads CRF 250x (4s trail) my bike had to have the clutch pulled in lots, i couldnt let it get too low or it would cut out. my dads i could let of the gas for a while and it would idle through some parts. they both got up big hills very well.

most trail bikes can handle motocross tracks pretty well, not doubles but most of a track. and motocross bikes handle trails too.

i would personally stick with a 4 stroke, i think they are more dependable and are easy to ride. its hard to say since you havent given you weight, height, and ride experiance. b/c of that i am going to assume you have slight/minimal riding experiance and are adverage height/weight of a 15 year old. using that and that you said you will be riding trails i would suggest to you that you get a CRF 150F. maybe a CRF 150R if you have more expierance than say about a month or if you are an agressive person

  5. Unless you are a very small 15 year old I would think you would need something larger than a crf150f or crf150r.  If looking at a basic trailbike you could look at the cr230f or if you are wanting a bike that can jump and be used for motocross as well look at any of the 4 stroke 250cc bikes as they are roughly the equivalent to the 2 stroke 125cc.

  6. Devonn, I have raced and ridden just about every size and type of motorcycle known. I now race 4 stroke 450's

The choice needs to be made depending on your age, size and most important your riding ability.

To answer your questions correctly I need more info.

The answer to the questions you asked.

The Honda CRF150F is a good bike but it is equivalent to a 85cc two stroke, they like most four strokes need to be maintained well. If this is the way you are going to go get the big wheel version.

The 125cc two stroke is equivalent to 250cc four stroke, In most riding situations the 250 is the way to go. If your in tight single track ,steep hills etc. the 250 4 stroke could use a 12 tooth sprocket in the front to help you out, the stock 13 is just fine for most every condition.

If money is not an issue, KTM  2 strokes are the way to go for trails, woods etc. You can get a lot of good advice at KTM talk. or other sites.

At 15 years old you are old enough for a bigger bike.

    I hope this helped you.
