Fastest way if you stay in Canada is via Highway 1. If you go via the US Interstate route, it will likely be faster and probably cheaper - US gas prices aren't as high yet as Canadian prices.

Fastest considerably is via the USA. Speed limits are higher and road is twinned all the way, and straighter through the Rockies. Cross back into Canada at Detroit.
