Whats the best food for a grape vine.please?

  1. When I had two vines one was the black hamburg I was told the best food is blood, or better was to dig a hole close to the roots and bury some animal insides or just plain guts to be blunt, then fill the hole and put stones etc.to keep animals from digging.the vine would consume everything in time, but I never did try the guts although I did try some dried blood from the garden centre. But I never did notice the difference, and always had a good crop of grapes but in many years was spoilt by a fungus dew to damp conditions i got fed up trying so I cut them down. So just feed you plant with general plant food and some dried blood but remember to wear rubber or plastic gloves, while handling the blood and be careful not to breath it in.   2. Farm yard manure. You can get it in dried, hygienic form at SCATS in the south, or Garden Centres elsewhere.
