Whats the best food for my 12 week old weimararer puppy..We was thinking bakers complete dry?

plus a little tined pedg food...i know theres prob not a set out for as all pups are diff but i would just like a right healthy dog not over feed and under fed..thanks people

Bakers and Pedigree isnt good for a dogs main diet especially a puppies. Look on the back of the tin/box i think bakers has only around 4%meat you need 20+% meat. And pedigree is basically the worst food for dogs, if you want to feed a little wet food then i'd suggest Butchers with tripe, or Science plan wet.

When you go shopping compare the ingredients from low quality like bakers and higher quality like Science plan, Royal Canine.

Pedigree always mess around with their dry complete foods and tinned dog foods in general are 75% water and a load of mixed rubbish.

You are best starting on beta puppy, hills puppy or james wellbelloved puppy(recommended for sensitive tummies too). Do not mixed tinned with dry foods as you unbalance the diet and can make you dog fussy. Moisten the dry  food with a little warm water to semi moisten it to start with and then gradually feed dry. Dry foods are also good for dogs teeth and keeps plaque from building up 'as much' as meats.

If you were to feed a meat the only one i would recommend is naturediet puppy which is all natural veg and rice. Use a suitable mixer like pedigree smallbite which is not a complete food just a mixer

Either feed the above or dry do not feed both and once you have a suitable diet stick to it.

get your dog use to you brushing its teeth daily with a dog toothbrush and toothpaste to keep its teeth in good order from day one whether using wet or dry food.

I've been feeding my pup Royal Canin and tripe.

Now he is older and we have an older sick dog, I'm thinking of moving over to raw foods.
