  1. acoustic is a little harder to learn on- as the strings are tougher to push down than on an electric.

A beginner will prbly want to jam away with distorted sounds as well. I'd go with the electric, but try getting used to it with heavier gauge strings. This way if you ever get an acoustic you'll be used to the resistance.

  2. acustic!! i hav one :]

  3. Either. I play electric and started on it too. I can play either fine as long as I have a pick. Just practice good enough and you can play both. It does not matter what string material you start with. All have their advantages and disadvantages. It matters what you want to play, too. Electric if you want to play rock, metal, blues, or jazz. Nylon-string acoustic for classical, and steel-string acoustic for any other acoustic operation. Electric sounds quiet unplugged. But you can get a portable battery-operated amp for anywhere from $50-$200. And electric still gives you proper calluses.

  4. no electric without the amp doesn't sound good or doesn't sound like anything . you should start with acoustic definitely !!

  5. I think acoustic, because you get used to the technicality

  6. 3G Iphone he will love it

  7. If you wanna play rock, then go with an electric guitar. Electric guitars sound almost like acoustic ones without amps.

If you're a beginner and you don't know anything about how to play, go with an acoustic guitar, then when you're a bit better get an electric.

  8. I guess buy a starter kit guitar set. Go to www.guitarcenter.com and look up cheap starter packs for eletric guitar. I recommend epiphone starter pack 150$

  9. acoustic!

  10. Acoustic is best for beginners because you learn the basics and how to use both hands. Once you master the acoustic, electric will come easily.

  11. acoustic guitar is easier to play, because the fretboard is usually wider.

without an amp, an electric guitar is very quiet.

  12. Acoustic is way better for beginners.

  13. You MUST get an acoustic guitar first... it conditions your fingers and builds the proper caluses on your finger tips so after a while you can play any guitar with no pain in your fingers(and believe me, there will be pain in your fingertips).....and no and electric guitar DOESNT sound like an acoustic without an amp...it barely sounds like anything...

  14. A small acoustic guitar with nylon strings.

    And no.
