The best antivirus is your own good common sense.  Don't open e-mail from unknown sources, don't click on fwd or their attachments as you will be automatically "connected" with everyone on the list and everyone with whom they have been in contact (that's why they call them viruses).

For the careful - Norton and McAfee are most well-known paid programs and have been in business for years.  Personally, I prefer Norton.  If you do go Amazon.com, you can often times pick up a special.  I usually buy a few months into the program and have been able to pick up a 3-license deal for $9.99 and shipping.

Defender pro 2008 this is why its a ANIT - Virus ANTI - SPY firewall ID Theft and pc repair and its 20.00 at walmart and its cheep and nothing ever had goin rong with my computer and has a years perscription gose along with it un like norton only has 65 days and its like 50.00 witch is stupid and i had so many errors no vires errors on it i had to shut down and reformat my hard drive and start allover and after that no more errors no more time lost and its garenteed what other program garenteeds that this program will protect you in a hacker or a virus and stop going to stupid sites that will have a viris on them and stop down loading stupid stuff

there is no best anti virus it depends on what you do with ur pc . i use Avira AntiVir its better than other paid and free ones .
