Whats the best game to play with 3 players?

ok, what is cut throat then? is that the same as what we call killer pool. 3 lives miss a ball loose a life?

Depends... if you are looking for fast games... cut throat, 9-ball or 10-ball. Something more challenging would be 15-ball rotation. I kinda like that because you have to use all you skills in either pulling shape on the next ball in order or not giving the incoming player a shot... or at the very least a hard one. Believe it or not playing ball-in-hand can be just as hard because you don't want to make your safeties so hard as not to let the following player not hit a ball but yet not give ball-in-hand to the player following him/her.

Even on a 9-footer it can be a challenge.

Surfer Dude is describing what most people know as Cutthroat...The person who breaks has 1-5, the next person to shoot has 6-10, and the last person has 11-15.  You try to hit the other people's balls in, and the last person with balls on the table wins.  If you scratch, you spot one each of your opponents' balls (in numerical order, the first on the spot, the second behind it, closer to the foot rail).  After a scratch, the cue ball is placed behind the head string.  If you want/need to, you can knock your own balls in to stay at the table (of course, if you knock your last ball in, you're out).  I think that pretty much covers it.  But when I'm practicing with two other people, I'm normally just playing king of the hill nine ball...Two people play, the third person gets winner, and it just keeps going until it's time to leave.  10-ball ring game is good, too.

Try playing Round Robin. It's a 3 player pool game. You pick a set of numbers (1-5;6-10;11-15) Then you try to hit other peoples balls in the pockets.
