Whats the best gerbil food?

I have gerbils, I am use to mice and rats and have the brand I find best; I do not like seeds cause they might only eat certain kinds and get unballanced nutrition so some type of pellets would be preferable. Does anyone know a good kind?

Well i think its Kaytee Fiesta. You can get them in pets smart. Sometimes it actually depends on the gerbil cause some gerbil like some kind of food, likesome of them are pretty picky about it. but i would recommend kaytee fiesta cause i think its the best one to feed your gerbil

Avoid Kaytee at all costs, their food is horrible and often contains dangerous preservatives.

I don't think anywhere does gerbil pellets.

I work in a pet shop and we do guinea pig pellets, rabbit pellets, and rat pellets to prevent selective feeding so I expect if we could do a nugget for gerbils too, we would.

(Since I work there and my gerbils were on it, and it's the only food we have for gerbils, mine are on store-brand gerbil food ('Pets at Home Gerbil and Mouse Food'), so I can't really help you out saying which is best; all museli food is generally the same.)

I've seen my gerbils selectively eating from their bowl too, but I just even it up by putting vitimins in their water and giving them fresh vegetables. I normally find they eat it all if you leave it in there long enough. I also give them cooked chicken and dog treats occasonially which they seem to enjoy- they enjoy a gravy bone once a week the most!
