Whats the best hotels for PA, NY, NJ?

I just started a job that requires a lot of over night traveling. I have been looking at: Holiday Inn, Best Western, Comfort Inn, Clarion, Motel 8, Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn and any other major hotel chain. I am mostly interested in whether they have good quality, good area, and mostly a good rate. I need the hotel room to cost less than 100$ a night, no matter where it is. Some other things I would like is complimentory breakfest, fitness center, maybe a pool. Whats everyones thoughts on these?

Of those you mentioned, I personally prefer Comfort Inn and Hampton Inn, but that's going to depend on the individual location you stay at.  For example, my parents have raved about a Holiday Inn Express they stayed at, but I wasn't very impressed with the one I stayed at.  It has a lot to do with management.  I can tell you that of the hotels you mentioned, I know that Choice Hotels (Clarion, Comfort Inn) offer free breakfast, and Hampton Inn offers free breakfast with hot items.
