  1. For me BT is the best. I have been using their services for over three years without a single breakdown. More interestingly they will be installing fibre optic cabling system - meaning you will be more protected, you will hardly suffer from interference, you will be provided with the best and highest speed available, and finally fibre optic cables is extremely resistance to wire-tapping.

  2. o2 - if you have an o2 phone it's £7.50 a month for unlimited downloads, 8Mbit speed.  Fantastic connection and speed, I have no complaints (having previously been with BT).

  3. for me virgin media is the best i have had 2 free upgrades in the last 2 yrs to up my speed at no extra cos i am currently using there 4mb service but im getting upgraded to 8mb for free next month, its not expensive and its fast due to the fact they use fiber optic cable instead of copper wire like most of the others do go here to see if its available in your area and to check out there deals. http://www.broadband-finder.co.uk/broadb... the first package is only £4-50 a month for 2mb broadband ,ive been with virgin for 7yrs and never had any issues.i hope this helps.

  4. One that doesn't traffic shape and is less than £15 per month for unlimited downloads

    Comparison site explains it

  5. If you live in a cabled street get Virgin. They use fibre optic broadband and it is a dedicated system. No one else can use it and it is far superior to ADSL because it doesn't use phone lines or exchanges.

All other ISP's have to use BT's telephone exchanges, lines and equipment because there is no other system to use.

  6. tiscali - you pay the direct debit on the same day each month , the internet works -simple.

DO NOT GO WITH BT - they say it's so much a 'month' and then they will send you a bill for about 6 months worth of rental out of the blue.

Edit - A lot of people on hear mope on about speed - but unless you've got the latest desktop with an amazing processor then forget it. The average family PC is about 3-4 years old and won't be capable of processing some of the higher speeds.
