Whats the best kind of bait for crabbing for blue and stone crabs?

My wife just became the blue crab know it all in my home. She's crazy about them and we look for 'em every weekend. She likes to use fish heads on twine. She'll thread the twine though the eyes of the fish head, add a weight and toss it out. She'll have about 6 lines out at the same time. She uses yo/yo's ( a large plastic spool) to keep the line in check.

I'm old school, I prefer chicken necks on twine but I'm starting to convert, she out catches me every time. For a guy like me to get a butt whooping catching blue crabs, it's a powerful message. Maybe I'm just getting too old...nahhh.~good luck catchin'.

We've had good luck with chicken bones from our lunch. Be sure to leave some of the meat on them.

The pros use fish tails or heads. Chicken comes apart in the water too easily.

well I heard that rotten chicken liver and gizzards and hearts were good but whooh the smell... I always used a small can of cat food and punched a lot of holes in the top so they can snack on it
