I've heard that there are some that fit right on your toilet? Are those better than just your standard potty chair? If not, what potty chair do you recommend? Thanks for any advice.

  1. i would start with the separate potty chair... because the height/size of the big potty can frightened little kids...

if they seem happy you could try the next step but don't go straight to it...

get one that is colored to your childs liking so they might be motivated to use it... when sucessful rewards are great motivation to keep them going for it...

Boy: start sitting for pee, after mastering both p**p/pee sitting u can try introducing him to his special ability

Girl: make sure she knows that she has to sit, if she sees dad doing #1 standing she might want to try and copy him, make sure she knows that won't be possible

make sure that after pooping u start teaching him/her how to wipe because he/she will have to do it himself/herself eventually...

  2. When # 3 was potty training, I bought a potty seat from target that has steps and fits right onto the toilet. It was really helpful, because he was not quite tall enough to sit on the potty.

  3. I have one answer. Baby Bjorn!!!!! I went through 4 potty chairs before finally finding one that fit my son's butt! I have the one with the back rest. There is also a cheaper one with no back rest. My sister loves it too for her son. And if you have a boy, it keeps the pee in the pot a lot better. I love this potty chair! :)

  4. What worked best for me was to buy the plain potty - there's a lid for a step stool, the seat can fit onto the bit toilet and the cup is easy to take in and out to clean. Don't waste your money on the music, lights, sounds- it distracts from what you are trying to teach. Just make sure you give praise EVERY time and that will ensure it will be repeated.
