  1. prune juice is good and you can also get a natural laxitive from chemist, I think it is made of figs and that good too.

  2. the best ones are the natural ones

fresh fruit juice, prunes or prune juice fresh veg and fruit etc

the safest chemist remedy is senna tablets

and lots of exercise too !

  3. Laxatives can cause pain and often uncontrollable bowels movement.  Instead try stool softeners, I use DulcoEase. I also use high potency vitamin "c" tablets, try 1 gram at first and if this does not work take 2 grams. Blueberries are also a wonderful purgative. Activia yoghurt's often do the trick. If you are really stuck use a suppository. If you are absolutely desperate try a DIY e***a. I have used an e***a in the past called "Fleet". it is almost instant, its painless and gives INSTANT results. Fleet is available at most chemists.

  4. I worked at a restaurant that had olives as one of the ingredients in food. Well they would come in large cans that we'd have to drain the juice out of. My supervisor one day was dared by my coworkers to drink the left over olive juice. There was about maybe half a jug. Well he drank it all right. And spent the rest of the day in the s*****r. To this day he cant even smell the olive juice whiteout getting queasy.

  5. cigarettes/coffee

  6. Prune Juice

  7. 1) Go to a health food store and look for an herbal one

    2) Drink some kind of fruit juice, like apple, grape or whatever is 100% juice that you like. Prune juice is really gross tasting and tends to cause gas and cramps.

    3) Water. Drink a few glasses. Sometimes this can get things moving.

    4) Salad. If you can eat salad, have a huge one. It tends to do the trick with no ill side effects.

    5) Enemas, suppositories etc. Uncomfortable but if you are really despearte this could help. You can find this stuff at a drugstore.

    6) When in doubt call or see a doctor.

  8. I'm here too late for a serious answer, so how about

    Watch Oprah

  9. as a last resort.. if the pain is bad... get an herb called

    Cascara sagrada

take three times a day till relief...

Please DON'T take for a long term... it just gets you dependent on it and just makes things worse... get it in a tincture(liquid drops)

    dont abuse it....

Look into psyllium husks for non-nutritional bulk fiber

    also try for quick relief...

large glass of water every ten minutes for a half hour.

    sometimes it works...(most times)

    eat smaller portions,

    eat figs and prunes

eat everything that you didnt want to eat as a kid

try to set a rythmic routine of going to the bathroom to retrain your body and strengthen your muscles! same times everyday..

    For a healthy fella'

three times a day is betta' !!

    hope this was helpful

    goodluck and work on it...

    hope you feel better....

  12. If you have a large helping of All Bran it will work absolute wonders.

  13. ideally you should ask a chemist (and if it's a recurring issue  a doctor) who can advise you specifically on modern medicines etc that work.

alternatives  are things such as prune juice, figs etc but this is really about a change of diet.

there are a range of offerings from oral medicines to suppositories that all have a role to play. start with your local chemist who can ask you further questions and is a mine of useful information.

  14. mineral oil

  15. Magnesium citrate, you can get it in a drugstore without a Rx. It is a carbonated drink, and works well... Really well! talk to a pharmacist about it before you use it to see if there is any reason you personally should not.

  16. something like fybergel or fibresure - wont cause cramping pains and is very gentle. works really well take 2 in the morning and 2 at night. when its all sorted make sure you eat properly lots of fruit and veg to stop it coming back.

  17. drink plenty of water and eat fibre; make sure you do that cuz the laxative will have no effect on your health if u dont

  18. Sennacot - natural and gentle, but of course it's better to eat more fruit and veggies so you hopefully won't need it.

  19. for immediate results sennokots or ex lax choc bar

however if you need to retrain your bowel add lots of fruit and vegetables and plenty of water to your diet

a more gentle laxative is lactolose (I think it is spelt this way) rather than the pergatives mentioned above
