  1. texas riged riibon tail or u tail plastic worm is the all around best.when using it.bass well hit the bait 90% of the time on the fall.if they dont hit it.once it hits the bottom give it a few twitches with your rod.then reel it in and try again.if the bass are biting good, you mite switch to a crankbait because you can fish faster and cover more water, meaning catching more bass.*** in brands of lures.plastic worms.yum,zoom,culprit.are all good brands.crankbaits for the price i like bandit coffin lip cranks.most imporant just have fun even if the fish arent biting.

  2. rap shad

  3. There is no "best" lure. It all depends on the situations and your ability to use it. You have to find the pattern (feeding habits) of the day and then choose from that. generally the first bass you catch will tell you the typical feeding pattern on the lake. We all have our favorites though. I like the Booyah Blade spinner bait in white/chartreuse, 3/8 ounce.

  6. Plastic worms are good but I think lizards sometimes work better. Whatever you are using you have to believe in it. If you think that you won't catch a fish with the lure that you are using then you probably won't. I caught 2 nice bass ( 2 1/2 & 3 lb, lost a 4+ that I caught last month, same spot, came out of the water and spit my lure right back at me) today using a Black/Blue chatterbait, 2 - 12oz a 3/8 oz. white spinnerbait and 1 (2 1/2lb) on a 6" worm black w/ chartreuse tail on a carolina rig with the worm hooked as a texas rig. If your asking what is best to learn with then go with the texas rigged worm or lizard and a spinner bait. Both are great for beginners.

  7. I would have to say plastic worms, but make sure you choose a good color of the worm due to the clarity of the lake, pond, river.

  8. i like to use those worm things

  9. Depends on the situation.

    Top water: frogs and poppers

    Mid depth: crank baits

    Bottom: Plastic`s or Natural
