  1. Fearless - Jet Li

  2. It is quite difficult to choose the best when I have seen so many. I own 100 Chinese films and 57 from Japan, and many of both are about martial arts of some type. I have also seen many more at Chinatown and Japantown theaters. Among samurai classics, "The 7 Samurai"(1954), "Yojimbo"(1961) and "Sanjuro"(1962) are great. Among Chinese films, "The Blood Brothers"(1973) is a classic as are "36th Chamber of Shaolin"(1978) and "Shaolin Mantis".

  3. Enter the ninja

  4. My favourite is 'The Last Samurai' because it  esteems esteem, treasures the beauty of Japan, and honours the memory of those who brought it honour.

The real star of this movie is Ken Watanabe as Katsumoto (and I say this with great joy). Not since Toshiro Mifune of 'The Seven Samurai' has there been an actor who has so fully embodied the ideal samurai warrior. Ferocity with grace, depth with power, presence with essence. He has it all. I cannot remember how much a single character has affected a film’s entire constitution with such dignity and poise.

  5. Pushing Hands.

All Chinese people, or people who are Asian american should watch it, especially if they have a relative in the "old country."

  6. Good Guys Wear Black

  7. If you mean the best of all time , the answer is hands down , Enter the Dragon. If you mean best our right now as in theaters , there is none currently , A good recent martial art movie I saw was  The Forbidden Kingdom with Jet Li and Jackie Chan.

  8. I think they all are lacking. I want to make my own script.

  9. karate kid 2

  10. Haha... I think KUNG FU PANDA, at the moment is the best.

Otherwise, the latest movie, Mummy...Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh

  11. Clearly this one.

  12. Ong Bak

  13. Hi there

Hard to choose but my top 10 are

    1. Enter the Dragon

    2. Bloodsport

    3. Enter the ninja

    4. Wheels on meals

    5. Last Samurai

    6. Karate kid

    7. Ong Bak

    8. One armed boxer/Master of the flying guillotine

    9. shogun assassin

    10. Monkey (TV show)

All good and amusing at the same time. Sadly i find the genre's gone astray since the matrix came out. More wires and flips theses days. Its all gone a bit arty farty! A few that didn't quite make the list but still worth a look are twilight samurai and Mad Mission 2.

    Best wishes

    idai

  14. Jackie Chan's movies are really enjoyable.

Musta seen them dozen of times throughout my life.

But try Jet Li's Shaolin Temple.

It's a bit rough around the edges but it's really good stuff.
