Whats the best mongoose bike out there?

Don't listen to that 1st guy. (duh) Try WTP or KHE they are better all around.

The ones that were built before Pacific Bicycle acquired the Mongoose name!  If you can find one.  Pacific is the mega-producer of cheap department store level bicycles.  Unfortunately, the Mongooses are now mostly junk like other Pacific products.

Pacific recently bought Cannondale too.  Let's hope they don't ruin that brand.
