Hello everyone,

We are planning a wedding in the Riviera Maya area. We like the Secrets resorts, Palace resorts, and also the Royal Hideaway Playacar Occidental Resort. We want an all inclusive resort that is adults only. They all look beautiful, so its hard to decide. Also I am still in school so I'm looking at May or June. Any info. would be greatly appreciated!

  1. Both May and June are good months. Iberostars are great resorts that are all-inclusive. They have entertainment at night, which we felt was important, and activities during the day on the beach and by the pool. They also have a good variety of restaurants. We stayed at an all-inclusive in Cancun called Dreams and feel that Iberostar was far superior. Good luck and congrats!

  2. I stayed at the Secrets Capri, its about 1/2 hour south of Cancun, all inclusive, we were there for our honeymoon, but I did see a couple of weddings take place.

Great resort, loved the service and everything else.  We were also there in August, hot but good!

  3. On the high central plateau, in cities like Mexico City and Guadalajara, the weather is mild throughout the year, though a little cooler from December through to March. The wettest months on the plateau are the summer months, where there will typically be an hour of two of rain per day. Inland, northern Mexico is mostly desert, hot in the day, and cold in the night. In southern Mexico, the mountainous regions blow hot and cold with pleasant climates lower down. Baja California, Mexico's pacific peninsula gets very little rain throughout the year. Winters are comfortable, and summers are very hot, though resorts like Cabo San Lucas benefit from a sea breeze. The country's central pacific coast, home to resorts such as Puerto Vallarta and Acapulco is hot, sunny and humid almost throughout the year, but the coast and comfortable climate, but in the late summer months, heavy rains come with the hurricanes. The beach resorts of the Yucatán Peninsula, including Cancún, enjoy similar summers to Acapulco, but suffer even more from hurricanes

  4. I was at a wedding in Cancun last December, and it was horrible.  It was at the Occidental Grand Xcaret.  There were approximately 25 guests with the wedding party staying at this resort, and they couldn't have done more to not only separate us, (even though they guaranteed we would all be in the same building, as that was what we paid a hefty deposit for), the staff never showed up for the wedding with the sound system, mics, and even the set up, they conveniently lost our reception reservation, (which was already paid for) and made us wait 3 hours until all of the properly reserved guests had eaten.  Even though there were several other restaurants, and two buffets. It was ridiculous.

I was incredibly thankful the couple were staying at the Cancun Palace (Spa Palace) resort for their honeymoon.  It is incredibly beautiful, peaceful, and you don't get poor service for not tipping at your supposed "All-inclusive" resort.  The spa and beach are wonderful, and the bedding is fresh and clean.  Not to mention the wedding gazebo could not be more  gorgeous.  Needless to say, my vote is for the Cancun Palace Resort.  Congratulations, and have a great time!

  5. well for a honey I say u stay at the Cancun Palace. Adults are only allowed to go in that palace.
