Whats the best overall digital camera?

I'm looking to upgrade my samgsung 5.0 megapixel camera to something a little more high tec. I was looking in between the price range of $200-400. Could you suggest a nice camera or camera brand?

It depends ...

If you stretch your budget about $70, you can get a Nikon D40 with a fine 18-55 mm lens ... it would be by far a better camera than any point and shoot for two reasons.  1) its sensor is over 15 times larger than P&S cameras and 2) the camera not only has P&S features like fully automatic settings, it can also be used as an advanced fully adjustable camera.

well a sony cybershot is a great camera but if you have a great nack for photography get the nikon  d40

thats the first slr camera  i evr bought it was worth every pennt

You need not spend $400- unless you want lots of zoom. If you went back 24 hours  to the present on this Website you'd get a pretty good idea.
