I reckon it's seeing the joy on the other people's face when they try something delicious you have made.

I do enjoy eating good food by myself but I reckon its much nicer to share the experience with other's (family friends lovers) and im not as fussed to eat more boring food by myself.

What about you guys?

  1. watching other people enjoy what i made for them.

  2. I love the complements. I cook with presentation in mind. I love to introduce friends to new tastes.

  3. The joy I get is when I have done it perfectly.

The taste, the degree doneness of a steak or chicken drumstick

  4. Eating it. And also when people give you compliments on the meal. And when people ask you to cook for them and they will buy the ingredients and pay you. And when people ask you to cook for certain events that they are having for their family. And also when your extended family asks you to cook dishes for family events.

  5. I love gathering the ingredients, prepping and making the dish, but like you said, it's the compliments that are the best =]

  6. To begin with I enjoy cooking a lot.  And I love making something really nice and then sitting down to eat it.  And it can be something very simple - it doesn't have to be complicated.

  7. I sometimes even feel like crying because it feels so special when my family are sitting at the table and quietly and calmly eating what I've made for them....I'm the daughter of the family but feel like their kind mother at those times...apart from that, preparing the ingredients (chopping and mixing and all that kind of stuff) really clears my mind and makes me calm.....whenever I feel sort of sad or angry or uncalm, The first place I go to is the kitchen and start to prepare something to cook....I really feel ok after it.

  8. I do believe the great cooks enjoy feeding others. It's what makes us happy. But I like good, healthy food, and most times it's best to make it myself.

  9. eating it

  10. The first time I made risotto (Shrimp and Asparagus from Olive Garden's website) I felt like a little kid again (i am 18) jumping around calling my mom to come look at it, and my brother urging them to taste it.

That is why I cook,  the feeling of excitement when all goes as planned, they ability to spread joy (my family's face when they see that not only there is food, but it is delicious), and the sense of accomplishment that accompanies finishing something.

  11. <--- Loves cooking lol No one knows when no one is home... I make my own recipes... try them lol maybe one day i will let them have some :)

I truthfully love cooking because its something easy and actually fun to do lol .... Def when you don't use measuring cups and act like u doing a show LOL....

<--- hopes to be a chef on tv some day...
